After our success at the Captain MICE Future Award 2025, we are pleased to announce that itemdrop has been selected as one of 80 innovative companies for the BEFuture Acceleration Programme. This program, funded by the European Union, aims to make the European business event industry more sustainable, digital, and resilient.

What is BEFuture?

BEFuture (Business Events of the Future) is an EU-funded project aimed at transforming the MICE industry in Europe sustainably. It focuses on three major themes: promoting sustainability, integrating digital solutions, and making structures more resilient.

The program is backed by eight partners from six countries, including the Catalan Tourist Board and the German Convention Bureau.
The Acceleration Programme

The heart of BEFuture is the Acceleration Programme: it supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the event industry with funding. Additionally, participating projects benefit from mentoring, workshops, and networking with stakeholders from across Europe.

Why itemdrop?

Our digital cloakroom solution perfectly aligns with the goals of BEFuture. By eliminating physical cloakroom tickets, we reduce paper consumption and offer an efficient and user-friendly experience for organizers and guests. Participating in the Acceleration Programme allows us to further develop our solution, benefit from expert feedback, and expand our network within the European event industry.

Looking to the Future

The coming months will be particularly exciting for itemdrop. Together with the other selected companies, we will participate in workshops, training sessions, and networking events to drive our innovations forward. Our goal is to promote the digital cloakroom solution across Europe and contribute to the transformation of the event industry. The grand finale will be the presentation of our results at IBTM in Barcelona.
